Providence Grain Group Inc. (herein “we”, “us”, “our”, and “Providence”) respects the privacy of individuals in all aspects of our business operations. We have a firm, long standing commitment to protecting all personal information within our knowledge and under our control, and we have this Privacy Policy to demonstrate that commitment.

Your personal information is only collected, used and disclosed by Providence in accordance with this Privacy Policy or otherwise as permitted by law. Privacy Policy Effective for Canada

It is Providence’s policy to comply with the privacy legislation within each jurisdiction in which we operate. Person includes but is not restricted to anyone who supplies grain or other products to us, purchases grain or other products from us or receives financing or services from us or who applies to supply products to us or purchase products from us or receiving financing or services from us regardless of the format such products and services are delivered in or is a website or mobile application user.

Collection of Information

In the course of using the services, website, or mobile application of Providence, you may choose to provide us with personal information including without limitation your name, e-mail address, mailing address, phone number and fax number. You may request information or services from Providence. This information will be collected and may include a history of request activities.Where practical, we will try to collect personal information directly from the person to whom the information pertains. Where necessary, we will collect personal information from other sources. We will collect only the personal information necessary for the purpose stated in this policy.

The legislation provides that an individual is deemed to consent to the collection, use or disclosure of personal information about that individual for a particular purpose if the individual voluntarily provides the information for that purpose, and it is reasonable that a person would voluntarily provide that information.

  6. to manage and improve our business and operations;

We will not without your express consent use your personal information for any other purposes except as may be reasonably anticipated by you having regard to the nature of our business. Third Party Advertisers and Links

As you access the website or mobile application, our advertisers, promotional partners or other third parties may use cookies or other technology to attempt to identify some of your preferences or retrieve information about you. Although these activities may appear to be coming from our website or mobile application, they may actually be coming directly from third parties. We do not control the use of this technology or the resulting information and are not responsible for any actions or policies of such third parties. Third parties, including our partners, advertisers, affiliates, social media applications, content sharing and peer to peer networks, and other content providers accessible through our website and mobile application, may have their own privacy and data collection policies and practices. We are not responsible for the actions, privacy, security or content of such third parties. Providence endeavours to maintain physical, technical and procedural safeguards that are appropriate to the sensitivity of the personal information in question. These safeguards are designed to prevent your personal information from loss and unauthorized access, copying, use, modification or disclosure.

No data transmission over the internet including e-mail can be guaranteed to be secure. As a result, while Providence strives to protection your personal information, we cannot warrant the security of any information you transmit to us, and you do so at your own risk. Once information is received, we make commercially reasonable efforts to ensure its security on our systems.


Subject to exceptions as permitted by law and upon your written request, we will inform you of the existence, use and disclosure of your personal information and give you access to that information.

In certain situations, we may not be able to provide access to all the personal information that we hold about a person, for example, if access would reveal personal information about another individual or reveal confidential commercial information. If access is denied, we will provide the reasons for denying access and the forms of recourse that the person has. You agree to not provide false information to Providence for any reason including for gaining access to the mobile application. By providing corporate information to Providence, you represent that you have the authority to do so, and that the information is non-confidential corporate information.

When we collect, use or disclose personal information, we will make reasonable efforts to ensure that it is accurate and complete. You have the right to challenge the accuracy and completeness of your information and have it amended as appropriate. If you wish to change your personal information, opt out of any particular use or program, or request the deletion of all or any part of your personal information held by us, send us a written request. Please note that changing or deleting your information will only change or delete the data in our database for the purposes of future activities and for managing future communications. These changes and deletions will not change or delete emails or information that we may have already forwarded to third parties.

The legislation permits individuals to submit written requests to us to correct errors or omissions in their personal information that is in our custody or control. At the time of your written request to change your personal information, we may request you to provide specific information in order to permit us to verify your identity. In the event that any of your personal information is found to be incomplete or inaccurate, we will take reasonable steps to correct your personal information record. We will correct the personal information and, if reasonable to do so, send correction notification to any other organizations to which we disclosed the incorrect information, or decide not to correct the personal information, but annotate the personal information that a correction was requested but not made.
